Fourteen people yesterday died and five others sustained injuries in a road accident along the Bauchi-Darazo Road, Zangoro Village.
The accident occurred when a yellow commercial Golf 3 Wagon with registration number AJ507GWA, collided with a private Ash Chevrolet marked 15B-07BA.
Sector Commander, Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC), Bauchi State, Yusuf Abdullahi, confirmed the accident.
He attributed the cause of the accident to speed limit violation by both drivers, adding that the crash involved 19 persons, comprising 10 women, seven men, a boy and a girl.
“Items recovered from the scene of the crash included N73,000,00; seven Phones; a Power Bank and four small handbags.
“The injured victims and the bodies were evacuated to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi for medical attention and preservation.”
