Coalition for Regional Development and Good Governance has solicited the support of Akwa Ibom, especially those from Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district for former Governor, Godswill Akpabio during next year’s elections.
Executive Director of the group, Attahiru Shiitu Samaho made the appeal yesterday in Abuja.
He said voters should vote for Akpabio in view of massive projects he embarked upon while in office as a governor, senator and minister.

The group also reminded people from Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District of what they call ‘uncommon transformation agenda’ of the former governor, where they claimed that Akwa Ibom state was made a destination for all investors.
“The direction to which the outcome of our opinion poll pointed was to a man who has all its takes to lead the zone at the Senate for next year’s election. This is despite enormous proof of achievements as a governor moving Akwa Ibom to a world class masterpiece,” he said.
Senator Akpabio, he said, stands out with proven achievement and still in the right frame of mind to replicate such at a senatorial level.
