Kwara United, Akwa United, Eburuaja FC and Rangers International FC are among the teams that qualified to the last 32 of the Federation Cup after beating their opponents yesterday.
In Ibadan, Kwara United defeated Gateway United on penalties after playing a 1-1 to hit the next round.
Olajide Mustapha silenced the Harmony Boys with the opening goal for the NNL side in the 47th minute but Kwara United equalised 20 minutes later through Samad Kadiri who also scored their solitary goal in the 4-1 loss to Akwa United in Uyo on Monday in the NPFL.
The game dragged on to penalties and Kwara United triumphed 4-2.
In Enugu, Ahmadu Liman’s 27th minute strike was enough to earn Akwa United a 1-0 win in an all NPFL teams tie while Imo State’s second representatives, Fr. Eburuaja FC defeated NNL side, Green Berets of Kaduna 3-2 to progress to the next round.
Mbadiwe Christian Nnamdi who scored the goal that lifted them to the round of 64 against PCM of Abakaliki netted again against Green Berets for his second goal while Lampard Nwada added two more goals.
