2023: My second term will be better, lawmaker tells constituents

The lawmaker representing in the House of Representatives Ondo East and Ondo West, Hon Abiola Makinde has assured his constituents that he would improve on his performances if elected for a second term in office.

Makinde said his intervention projects touched the lives of several individuals in rural communities.

He spoke after members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) okada riders and the Student Union Government of the Adeyemi College of Education endorsed him for a second term in office.

Makinde who described the endorsement as a call for more action said he would deliver more constituency projects to the grassroots level.

In his words, ” My electoral promises were simple and it was built on ensuring that the people get the best of democratic processes through qualitative representation which I am most passionate about.

“What we have done so far is little compared to what we have planned for the constituency and I believe that with your support to ensuring the continuity of this representation, we will have more to rejoice about.

“Our first term campaign mantra was WEALTH meaning Water, Education, Agriculture, Light, Training and Health. For our second term, the ‘E’ would not only mean Education, Empowerment and Entertainment are added to it. Then we would also intensify other aspects of our campaign mantra which has seen Ondo witness astronomical developments through quality representation”.

Chairman, Okada Association, Ondo West local government, Mr Ifedayo Idowu, said many of his members were empowered by Makinde.

He said they endorsed Makinde because he has performed creditably well, especially in youth inclusiveness and empowerment of the populace at large
