The All progressive congress (APC) at Ona Ara local government area of Oyo state yesterday held a stakeholders meeting to foster peace and unify all members ahead of coming elections.
The meeting which held at Elekuru high school was chaired by the newly appointed senatorial chairman of the party, Hon. Joshua Oyebamiji alongside the local government party chairman Prince Kola Ogundipe, and had other notable big wigs in the party in attendance.
Hon. Oyebamiji while addressing party members, said the meeting was strategic and timely as the electioneering period is fast approaching, noting that it boils down on the need to keep their house in order to achieve the target goal.
He explained that there is barely no time to be wasted, charged the major stakeholders in the party to get to work by appealing and settling any form of rancors with all aggrieved members and also start immediate mobilization at the grass root.
Oyebamiji added that the APC in Oyo state under the leadership of the party chairman, Hon. Isaac Omodewu is not just ready to win back the state from the opposition party , but also bring all members back together in order to achieve success.
Oyebamiji while singing praises and commending the leadership style of Sen. Teslim Folarin both at state party level and at the federal constituency represented, also lauded Hon. Akin Alabi whose name has being written in gold in the heart of his constituents which include Ona Ara local government.
He added that his excellent representation at the legislative chamber and philanthropic performance in and outside politics to all his constituents, with special attention to women, widows and the youths has painted his name in gold in the heart of his people, hence the reason for the clamor by his continuity.
The party chairman at Ona Ara LG, Prince Kola Ogundipe while addressing the party members, in the same vein charged the leadership of various wards in the local government to wake up to their responsibility, sort out rancors with aggrieved members and begin to canvass for the party ahead of the election.
Prince Kola also commended akinalabi for being an outstanding representative,who genuinely cares and love his peoples dearly.
The party’s woman leader at the Ona Ara, Mrs. Filicia Olatunde while expressing the readiness of the women in the party to work for the success of APC at the local and state level, lauded the two outstanding representative they have, Sen. Teslim Folarin and Hon. Akin Alabi for the great job they are doing, hence prayed that they almighty rewards them and grant their heart desires generally.
