Twenty-one-year old Brenda Evbodaghe, a graduate of Mass Communication from Covenant University has been crowned queen of the Lagos NYSC Miss Bold and Beautiful pageant sponsored by Globacom.
Evbodaghe, from Edo State beat other ladies to emerge the winner of the pageant which was anchored by the humour merchant, Gbenga Adeyinka.
The pageant was part of the activities lined up for the night of fun and entertainment organised by Globacom to welcome the 2015 “Batch A” corps members to the NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana Ipaja.
The contestants appeared in three costumes: Full NYSC Corps regalia, evening gown and native wears.
Brenda was declared winner by a unanimous decision from the judges comprising Glo ambassadors Bez, Ego Ogbaru and NYSC officials. She won an iPhone 6 with 4.5 Gb data and N5,000 worth Glo Airtime.
Iwuese Oluchi Precious, a Business Administration graduate from Babcock University was first runner-up and won a Samsung Duos with 4.5 Gb data and 5,000 airtime, while Judith Nze, a Biomedical Science graduate from the University of Wolverhampton, England came third, winning a Samsung Duos.
Reacting, Brenda said: “I feel happy; I never expected to win. It’s a very happy moment for me. This crown, I’m sure will spur me into giving my best during the service year. I will use it as a springboard to achieve my dream in the wider society”.
