The first-ever international agricultural exhibition and conference, tagged Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018, will be attended by over 500,000 farmers.
The conference will be hosted by the Osun State Cooperatives Farmers’ Union between November 20 and 22, and it will hold at the Osogbo Township Stadium.
The union, at a meeting to endorse the conference in Osogbo, called on the organisers to ensure that different agricultural companies both home and abroad, are mobilised to exhibit their products and services at the three-day event.
The president, Olayiwola Adeshina, said: “We discovered that agriculture has gone beyond the way we practice it in Nigeria and Africa. Farmers in Osun State are more than 500,000 dealing in different sectors of agriculture, we are large scale farmers and agriculture is our business. So we will like to see companies that will cater for our different needs coming to exhibit their products at the Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 event.”
Executive Director, Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018, Yahaya Majeed thanked the union executives for endorsing the programme and promising to mobilising members to attend the event. He said the organisers will ensure that many companies are mobilised for the event.
“We have been receiving many enquiries from outside the country and I assure you that we will have a successful Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 event in Osogbo in November,” he said.
