6 teams set for B/ball Savannah Conference showdown in Kaduna

The Technical Commissioner, Ajibarede Bello, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Kaduna.

Bello said the event would hold from Aug. 14 to Aug. 19 at the Murtala Muhammed Square Indoor Sports Hall in Kaduna.

He explained that the best four in each conference would go into the final eight, to determine the champions for the league and those going for continental competitions to represent Nigeria.

According to him, three games will be played daily and will be televised by Kwese Sports live on television.

Bello advised participating players to stay focused for them to showcase their talents to the world and potential employers.

He also solicited the support of Kaduna State Indigenes during the competition.

“I am calling on Kaduna Supporters to come out and support us as we have the best teams featuring in the competition.

“You can also download the application and watch through your phone,’’

He assured players of good officiating during the tournament, adding that the federation had taken steps to invite officials from the Atlantic Conference to supplement those on ground.

The six participating teams are Kano Pillars, Plateau Peaks, Gombe Bulls, Niger Potters, Kada Stars and Bauchi Nets.
