The Federal Government said it has concluded arrangement to concession the hydro power plant of Gurara dam, located in Kaduna State to an unnamed company.
The government said the dam has 30 megawatts of hydro power potential.
It also said the 40 megawatts Hydro Power Plant from Kashimbila dam, built by the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, was ready for concession.
Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu, disclosed this during a workshop for reporters covering the water sector in Abuja.
The minister explained that the ministry would soon present the concession plan before the Federal Executive Council for approval.
