COME May 12, award-winning Nollywood filmmaker and actress Uyoyou Adia, will premiere her movie, ‘The Fourth Side’ at the Nollywood Week Paris Film Festival.

‘#The Fourth Side’ is a movie about men who have been wrongly accused of rape and have had to pay for a crime they did not commit.

Uyoyou said that the film which has been touring festivals within Nigeria has been receiving accolades  speaking the  truth most people don’t want to talk about.

Uyoyou who has been mentored by Judith Audu ascribed the success of the movie to hard work and a desire to do movies that stand out.

“I’m thrilled that my short film will be premiering in faraway Paris,” she said.

“When I shot it, I didn’t know it will go that far. This means we are doing something right and I intend to continue with this.”

Uyoyou’s first film, ‘Lost’, which earned her three awards in one night, touched on depression and mental health issues, especially as it affects men.

In its seventh edition, NollywoodWeek Paris Film Festival is billed to run from May 9 to May 12 at the Cinema l’Arlequin (Harlequin Theatre) in Paris, France. According to the organisers, the festival was created to showcase the very best that Nollywood has to offer, with the aim of finding a larger audience.
