President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met behind closed doors with the Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, Danjuma Goje at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The duo walked into the President’s office around 11.45am.

They had in the weeks indicated interest to run for the Senate Presidency of the incoming 9th National Assembly.
The All Progressives Congress had endorsed Lawan for the office of the Senate President.
The elections and inauguration of the 9th National Assembly come up next week Tuesday.
