The Oyo State Ministry of Education is to host the 2013 edition of the Special Students Arts and Craft Competition in secondary schools.
Mrs Busola Adetunji, the Information Officer in the Oyo State Ministry of Education, said this today in Ibadan while speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan.
‘‘The competition is to showcase the talents and natural endowments of physically challenged students,’’ she said.
NAN reports that the competition will involve special schools in all the eight educational zones in Oyo state.
Among the zones are Ibadan City, Ibadan Less City, Ibarapa, Oyo, Ogbomoso, Oke Ogun I and II.
Adetunji said that some of the works of arts that would be on display at the event include baskets, raffia bags, shoes, soap and pomade.
She said prizes would be given to winners in the first, second and third positions in the competition
