Ondo: Embrace peace to move APC forward, group urges warring parties

THE Continuity For Good Governance (CGG), a group working for the retention of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s administration beyond 2021 has commended the fatherly role played by southwest leaders led by Bola Tinubu, to restore peace in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State.

The group, rising from its meeting held in Akure, on Friday, issued a communique signed by its Director of Publicity, Kayode Ehinlanwo, who said there’s no sacrifice too much for peace.

The communique reads: “We believe that the aggrieved stakeholders in the state have cause to be upset because politics is not played by the saints, but we appeal to them to listen and follow the words of wisdom and embrace the peace move of our national leaders in order to move the party and the state forward toward 2020 election”.

”With this, we are happy to say that peace has finally restored in APC family, and this must be genuinely rooted and sustained by all.”

The group said Akeredolu was doing a great job in all sectors and this should be the pride of every member of the ruling party in Ondo State. Even the opposition parties acknowledge this fact.

According to the group, “We have done our survey across the state and it is pertinent to say that we are witnessing unprecedented achievements generally and especially in the area of roads infrastructures, renovation of both primary and secondary schools in every nook and cranny of the state.

”The agricultural and industrial revolution across the state, regular payment of workers salary, just to mention a few in spite of paucity of funds.

It, however, implored faithful party members and citizenry to encourage and support continuity of Akeredolu’s administration.
