A 300-level student of the University of Benin simply identified as Ephraim has died after jumping down from B series of the Faculty of Arts building.
Some witnesses said it was a suicidal act.
Ephraim, however, died instantly.
The deceased male student was said to be a student of the Department of Actuarial Science, Faculty of Management Sciences.

Efforts to get confirmation from the Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr. Michael Osasuyi, failed, as he did not pick calls made to his mobile phone.
