Ortom appoints Ayabam as acting BIRS Chairman 

BENUE State Governor Samuel Ortom has removed the Chairman of the state Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) Terzungwe Atser.

Ortom, in his place, appointed the former Chairman of BIRS, Mr. Andy Ayabam, as acting chairman pending confirmation by the House of Assembly.

A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Terver Akase, said the appointment is with immediate effect

When The Nation visited BIRS head office on Gboko road, Makurdi , there was excitement among staff.

They welcomed Ayabam’s appointment.
