About 400 students will graduate during the fifth undergraduate and first postgraduate convocation Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State holding on Sunday, July 21 at the institution’s main auditorium.
In a statement signed by the Registrar of the University, Mr Caleb Oyerinde, the President/Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Ekundayo Alao said the convocation was unique as the eight-year old tertiary institution patterned in line with Seventh-day Adventist Philosophy of Education will be graduating its first set of Law, Engineering and Health Information Records students.
During the event, former United Nations Permanent Representative, Prof Ibrahim Gambari would deliver the Commencement address titled: “The Place of University Education in Global Development.”
The convocation would also feature a Job fair – with more than 25 organisations as well as foreign universities expected to recruit fresh graduates for jobs or further studies.
Pof Alao said that the essence of the fair was to expose the graduating students to the real world of work and to assist them in building self-confidence, while providing a platform for alumni and students of the University to showcase their talents.
