It was a day of joy for 137 graduating pupils of Tindip School, Ikorodu, Lagos during their graduation at the Ikorodu Town Hall.
Forty-one pupils graduated from the nursery school; 32 from the primary school; 41 from JSS 3; and 30 pupils from the SS3 class.
Those among the graduating pupils who had done well during the academic year were celebrated by parents, teachers and well-wishers.
The pupils entertained the audience with dance presentations, musicals, poetry, recitations and many more.
Proprietress of the school, Mrs Olayinka Arigbede, showered praises on the parents and members of staff for their involvement in the last academic year. She also said that the school had done well in a sports competition.
“We appreciate all our highly esteemed parents for their support. God will continue to bless you all.
‘’To our staff, we thank you for your patience, hard work and competence which you have displayed, God will reward you abundantly.
“The School relay teams represented the schools at national levels in Teslim Balogun stadium and won laurels, coming first in all the competitions and also produced the best athlete in Lagos State in female category. Miss Alowonle Halimat won the best female athlete of that competition,” she said.
The Assistant Director, Voice of Nigeria, Mr Sola Solanke, Treasure of Ikorodu kingdom, Olori Abosede Shotobi, Grand Patron of the school, Aremo Adeniyi Ogunsanya and Olori Abake Adekayaoja graced the ceremony.
