‘Otti ignorant of Abia’s political development’

Sunny Nwankwo, Aba

Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has described the recent outburst by the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2019 poll, Dr. Alex Otti, as a show of his ignorance over the political development in the state.

This is even as the state government maintained that Otti is still bitter over his defeat to Ikpeazu, stressing that the government will never allow him (Otti) to distract the government.

In a press conference by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, accused Otti of sponsoring protests in Aba, the commercial nerve of the state.

According to Ememanka, the governor, who was reacting to a statement by the APGA candidate that he has not lived up to peoples’ expectations, added that he is committed to delivering democracy dividends to the people of the state.

“It is noteworthy that in all his media interactions, Dr. Alex Otti is yet to identify a single positive contribution from the Ikpeazu’s administration. It is obvious that Otti’s mission is to keep Ikpeazu permanently distracted, disrupt governance and ultimately punish the people of the state for rejecting him at the elections on two consecutive occasions.”
