An account officer, Michael Thadius , 37, was yesterday arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly stealing N1.4million.
Thadius was also alleged to have set his office, Sweet Sensation, ablaze.
Thadius, of no fixed address, was charged with arson, threat to damage, stealing and attempted arson. He pleaded not guilty before Chief Magistrate G.O. Anifowoshe
Prosecuting Sgt. Felicia Okwori, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on September 25 at Sweet Sensation Office located at Olowora , Ojodu Berger, Lagos.

Sgt. Okwiri alleged that Thadius stole the N1.4 million belonging to Sweet Sensation Fast Food and set the financial controller’s office ablaze.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
Chief Magistrate Anifowoshe granted him bail in the sum of N100, 000 bail with two sureties in like sum.
He ordered that the sureties must be gainfully employed and show evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
The case continue on November 20.
