BRITISH manufacturer of personal healthcare products and consumer goods, PZ Cussons, has reiterated its commitment to promoting the wellbeing of Nigerians, stressing that a healthy population is a productive population.
Former Minister of Health and Chairman, PZ Cussons Foundation, Prof. Eyitayo Lambo, who spoke at an event to mark this years global handwashing day, said the firm will continue to promote health and well being of the citizens.
The brand, through its Premier Cool, joined United Purpose fro the event.
The theme of the event was: Clean Hands for All.
The days leading up to the national event saw the brand embark on a school-sensitisation tour, visiting a number of schools in different states across the country, which included Lagos, Cross River, Benue and Abuja to create awareness about the importance of constant handwashing with soap.
Also speaking, the Group Brand Development and Activation Manager, Personal Care, PZ Cussons,Charity Ilevbare-Adeniji stressed the importance of a germ-free healthy society.
“For the past five years, PZ Cussons have partnered successfully with United Purpose in increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an easy, effective, and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives,” she said.
