A firm, 234finance.com, on Thursday has hinted of plans to stage another edition of Mentor Matchup Challenge for entrepreneurs.
The firm said the event will bridge the practical knowledge gap between successful entrepreneurs and the younger generation of entrepreneurs.
A statement yesterday said the event will hold at Oriental Hotel on December 2. It will feature panel discussions, intimate mentoring sessions and multiple networking opportunities, to allow entrepreneurs discuss niggling business challenges with mentors who are thought leaders in their industries.
Entrepreneurs will also get a chance to pitch their businesses to investors in attendance and win seed funding of up to $20,000.
“The statement reads: “The event will focus on six strategic sectors of the economy – agriculture, food and hospitality, logistics, manufacturing, financial services and retail. “Some of the confirmed speakers for this year’s event include the co-founder of Kobo 360 Obi Ozor; Chief Executive Officer of Utopia Media Group Akintunde Marinho; Chairman of Caades Group Chima Anyaso and founder of Ziva Lagos Tania Omotayo, among others.”
Last year, two entrepreneurs won seed funding of $2500 each. One of them, Ejiro Jakpa, founder of Nicnax Granola invested the $2500 in new equipment, moved to a bigger factory and added peanut butter and oat flour to her product line.
