Jigawa State Governor Muhammed Badaru on Tuesday presented N225.72billion proposed budget for the state and 27 local governments to the House of Assembly.
The governor tagged the proposed 2020 budget as “Budget of Sustained Economic Growth and Social Transformation – Meeting the Next Level Agenda”.
He said the estimate is 4.5% less than the 2019 approved estimates, “which reflects our commitment to the reality of the macro economic environment and revenue projections for next year.”
Speaker Idris Garba assured the citizens of speedy passage of the budget before the end of the month.
