Asaba women’s union to mark 60th anniversary

Women of Asaba Development Union (ADU) are planning a grand ceremony to mark the association’s 60th anniversary, its President, Dr Eugenia Nkeiruka Taiye Williams, has said.

She promised to expand investment plan and grow the association’s membership.

Also elected during the peaceful election are: Mrs Christie Akaeze (First Vice President), Mrs Georgina Okonne (Second Vice President) and Mrs Ngozi Amatoseo (Secretary).

Others are: Mrs Patricia Oladipo (Assistant Secretary), Mrs Doris Ofili (Social) and Mrs Edith Chizea (Social), Mrs Ugoh Uzoma Gloria (Treasurer), Mrs Mary Iloka (Financial Secretary) and Mrs Ifeoma Adimpaya (Public Relations Officer).

Dr Williams holds a degree in Accounting from Alabama University in the United States of America (U.S.A) and Master’s from the University of Calabar (UNICAL).

Adimpaya is a graduate of Enugu State University of Science and Technology and Managing Director of Allure Global International Concept.

The president added that the general objective of ADU is to protect Asaba women’s interests in Lagos.
