The Chief Imam, Lagos State House of Assembly Central Mosque, Dr. Abdul – Hakeem Abdul – Lateef, has advised Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde not to demolish the structure or mosque in Ibadan where some people – adults and children, were rescued recently by the police.
Makinde had after the rescue of victims alleged to be housed in a dehumanising condition, told reporters that the particular structure had been marked for demolition by the Oyo State Government.

But Alhaji Abdul – Lateef, who said he was not happy that the occupants of the correctional facility were kept in a place where their movement was restricted, however, added that the state government should look into the fact that the people were brought there by their parents or guardians for reformation.
