Osun targets N3b IGR monthly

Osun State Government has said it is targeting N3 billion Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) monthly to deliver the campaign promises of the Governor Gboyega Oyetola administration to the people.

The Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, made the disclosure at a meeting with officials of the banks and other financial institutions in partnership with the state government on revenue collection.

He advised the banks to comply with the Treasury Single Account (TSA) policy of the state in order to block leakages and boost the state’s revenue.

Oyebamiji said henceforth, a target will be set for the revenue collection banks.

He promised to compensate performance to further encourage them.

The Accountant General, Mr. Sunday Igbaroola, urged the banks to ensure that they close other accounts outside the TSA account so that all funds can be monitored and accounted for.
