A Lagos High Court, Igbosere, has remanded an Indian, Lokesh Parwani, for attempted suicide, following his arrest for alleged stealing and fraud of N149.666 million.
The court ordered that Parwani be remanded in a Correction Centre.

Justice Modupe Nichol-Clay ordered the remand after the defendant pleaded not guilty to a seven-count charge of conspiracy, stealing fraud, issuance of dud cheques and attempted suicide, filed against him by the Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (Force CIID) Annex, Alagbon-Ikoyi, Lagos.
The police accused Parwani of conspiring with some others, said to be on the run, to defraud their employer, an Indian firm, of N149.666 million.
The incident took place on July 19, 2019 at Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, while acting as the company’s Personal Manager.
