Sultan, Abiodun for NASFAT conference

A foremost Islamic organisation, Nasiru-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), on Thursday began its 5th Biennial Conference at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Among the personalities expected at the three-day conference are Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Dr. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Prof Moshood Baderin of the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Patrick Ngoyi, will deliver keynote addresses.

NASFAT President Alhaji Niyi Yusuf said the conference would bring together members of NASFAT from over 300 branches in Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Egypt, United Kingdom, Malaysia, United States of America among others to discuss the progress of the society and Nigeria at large.
