AFRIMMA honours Prince Ned Nwoko

For his role in Nigeria and in particularly the entertainment sector, the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) has honoured Prince Ned Munir Nwoko as the recipient of the inaugural AFRIMMA Community Impact Award.

The presentation ceremony took place at the AFRIMMA 2019 Awards & Music Festival 6th edition that held at the Bomb Factory, Dallas, Texas. Ace Nollywood actor Francis Duru picked up the award on his behalf.

Nwoko is a lawyer, business magnate and politician. He was born to the Ugboko Royal Family on December 21, 1960. He acquired his first degree in Law and History at the University of Keele in Staffordshire, United Kingdom.

Nwoko set up his Law firm, Ned Nwoko Solicitors and practiced as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

His firm gained international acclaim for its management and verification of foreign debts of third world countries and their component states.

He won the election for the Federal House of Representatives and was a member of the legislative house from 1999 to 2003. And this year, the Appeal and Supreme Courts voided his initial victory at the High Court to represent the Delta North Senatorial District at the Senate.

Nwoko has extended his support to music and movie stars and other professionals connected with the industry.

Recently, he took up the fight against malaria. And believes the short-term goal of fumigating Nigeria and other African countries will end the scourge of malaria in Africa.
