Badagry LG boss appoints ex-NULGE chair SSA

In furtherance of his resolve to reward excellence and give priority to staff welfare, the Chairman of the Badagry Local Government, Hon Olusegun Onilude, has appointed the immediate past Chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) of the council, Comrade Asu Peter, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Labour Matters.

The council boss made the appointment known during the end-of-the-year staff get- together and award ceremony held at the council secretariat.

He noted that the appointment of Comrade Asu was in recognition of his robust and matured handling of worker’s matters during his tenure as the union Chairman in the local government.

”My administration is committed to staff welfare and we shall continue to do everything possible to reward committed and hardworking staff of Badagry Local Government. Comrade Asu, during his tenure as Chairman, displayed exceptional qualities by maintaining peace and stability in the council, hence his appointment as SSA to the Chairman on Labour Matters,” he said.

In his speech on the occasion, the Chairman of NULGE Badagry branch, Comrade Rabiu Saka, commended Hon. Onilude for the honour conferred on his predecessor.

\He assured him of his commitment to continue with the good legacies left behind by Comrade Asu saying “the working relationship between the workers and management will be enhanced towards effective service delivery to the people of the local government.”
