The trial of the Aide-De-Camp (ADC) to the late former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh, will resume January 2020, The Nation has learnt.
A military source, who spoke in confidence, said the trial of the ADC and six other military men was delayed by the current insurgency war in the Northeast.
The late Badeh’s ADC was sent to a Court Martial by military authority for dereliction of duty, believed to have caused the death of the former Chief of Defence Staff.
The source said: “The court martial is still ongoing. It has not been concluded yet. The time of next sitting for the court martial should be on second Monday in January 2020. There is no ruling yet, I can assure you.
“The ADC to Badeh would be in the nest (a codename for military detention for Air Force officers), while the soldiers would be in the guard room.”
Badeh, a former Chief of Defence Staff, was killed in an ambush on the Keffi–Abuja expressway on the evening of December 18, 2018.
