Three men, Omotosho Aliu, 52, Oyelowo Akande, 56, and Taiwo Abayomi, 52, on Tuesday appeared at an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ekiti State for alleged conspiracy.
The defendants, whose addresses are unknown, are facing a one-count charge of conspiracy.
Prosecuting Inspector Oriyomi Akinwale told the court that the defendants and others at large allegedly committed the offence on November 21, at about 3:05pm, in Oye-Ekiti.
He alleged that the defendants conspired to commit felony, to wit, armed robbery at the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Oye-Ekiti branch.

Akinwale said that the defendants were arrested based on the information gathered by the police.
He said the offence contravenes Section 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
The prosecutor asked the court for adjournment to enable him study the case file and present his witnesses.
The defendants pleaded not guilty.
Their counsel, Mr. Timi Omotosho, urged the court to grant the defendants bail, promising that they would not jump bail.
Chief Magistrate Mr. Adesoji Adegboye granted the defendants N200,000 bail with one surety each in the like sum.
He adjourned the case till February 12.
