The Appeal Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has adjourned for judgment in the suit between Bayelsa State Governor-elect David Lyon and ex-Minister of State for Agriculture Heineken Lokpobiri.

Lokpobiri insisted he won the APC primaries, despite the ruling of Justice Jane Inyang, of the Federal High Court, that the APC had no candidate for the November 16 poll.

Lokpobiri, however, filed an appeal against the judgment. Lyon and APC also did same.

It was gathered both parties adopted their written addresses and argued their petitions before a three-man panel.

Lyon’s lawyer Karina Nathaniel, who confirmed the court proceedings, said the panel adjourned the matter indefinitely for judgment.

“We presented our arguments and the judge adjourned the matter indefinitely… A date for the judgment will be communicated to us.”
