Oyo mourns deceased teacher

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OSUBEB) has commiserated with the family of a deceased member of staff, Mrs. Otun Abosede.

Mrs. Otun was a Senior Teaching staff of the Board, attached to Community Primary School 1, Olopomewa.

She was travelling to Abuja for a for a workshop organised by the United Nations Children’s Fund with her colleague, Mrs. Adedeji of Bako Community Primary School, Ido, when they were involved in an accident.\

OSUBEB’s Executive Chairman Nureni Adeniran said while Mrs. Adedeji survived with injuries, Mrs. Otun did not.

He said: “The incident is unfortunate. She would be missed in the teaching service, especially for her disciplined lifestyle and dedication to duty.”

Adeniran prayed God to grant her eternal rest and comfort her family.

The chairman added that the government has made arrangements to bring the body to Ibadan and ensure Mrs. Adedeji gets adequate treatment.
