Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola has congratulated former governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola on his 69th birthday anniversary.

The ex-governor, who turned 69 yesterday, became Osun State governor in May 2003 and was re-elected in 2007. He was a member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ismail Omipidan, the governor said he was joining the Oyinlola family, friends and associates in celebrating the former governor as he begins his countdown ahead of his joining the septuagenarian league.

Oyetola described the former governor as a statesman who has continued to demonstrate his commitment to the growth and development of the state and his fatherland.

“Egbon, as you turn 69, I pray that God will grant you more years of good health, wisdom and strength to continue serving the state in particular and the country at large,” he added.
