An articulated truck, weekend, crushed an unidentified 78 year old man to death along Sapele/ Agbor road by Umuebu junction, Obiaruku, Ukwuani L.G A.
The Nation gathered that a vulcaniser and the owner of a roadside gas refill shop narrowly escaped death but survived with serious injuries.
An eyewitness said the truck with number plates APP 161 XE lost control and rammed the old man killing him on the spot.

He said the truck driver abandoned the truck and sought refuge at the Ubiaruku Divisional Police Headquarters.
The corpse of the victim has been deposited at the Ubiaruku Hospital Mortuary.
