An articulated truck has crushed an unidentified man said to be in his 70s to death along Sapele/Agbor Road at Obiaruku, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Nation gathered that a vulcaniser and the owner of a roadside gas refill shop narrowly escaped death but survived with serious injuries.

An eyewitness said the truck with number plate APP 161 XE lost control and ran the old man over, killing him on the spot.
He said the truck driver abandoned the truck and sought refuge at the Ubiaruku Divisional Police Headquarters.
The corpse of the victim has been deposited at the Obiaruku Hospital Mortuary.
Delta Police spokesman DSP Onome Onowakpoyeya confirmed the incident.
