Fans call for Baba Suwe’s comeback

After his encounter with the National Drug Law  Enforcement Agency (NDLEA} and  absence from the movie scene as a result of an ailment, fans of legendary comic actor and producer, Babatunde Omidina, popularly called Baba Suwe, have called for a comeback of the comedian.

A follow-up on the social media app (Twitter) is full of the outpour of love from fans who took to the app to celebrate the actor for his contribution to the movie industry.

Most of his fans, who are youths, recalled how the icon made their childhood memorable, hence calling for his return to the make-believe world.

Baba Suwe was a trending topic on Twitter for hours on Tuesday with several of his movie scenes posted just to appreciate his works in the Yoruba sector of Nollywood.

A twitter user @swittiwa wrote, “This man is the best Yoruba Actor, Bring Back Baba Suwe.”

“He’s the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) of Yoruba movie industry back then” another user @pexxie opined.

Also @adusco_: “Baba alwlays moved the audience the same way Naira Marley move the crowd now.”

Omidina was recently in the news again when news of his ill health surfaced. The last update was about his return from the USA where he went for treatment.
