Oladipo Diya’s wife, Josephine, turns 70

The name of former Chief of General Staff, Lt Gen. Oladipo Diya (rtd), rings a bell because of his role as a key player in some of the last military regimes that ruled Nigeria.

While Diya marked his 75th birthday on April 6 last year, his wife, Otunba Mrs. Josephine Onoimiuko, marked her 70th birthday yesterday in Lagos.

In celebration of her birthday, Mrs. Diya visited the Old People’s Home in Yaba, Lagos, Nigerian Red Cross Society Motherless Babies Home, Makoko, Lagos, and Regina Mundi Old Peoples Home, Mushin, Lagos, to donate food items, toiletries, and home utensils.

She said that the donation was to assist the government alleviate the suffering of the masses, adding that it was also to mark her 70th birthday celebration slated for Saturday.

She was joined by her daughter, Mrs. Oluwakemi Diya-Ojie; husband, Gen. Diya; Rev. Ola Thomas of the United African Methodist Evangelical Church, Abule Ijesha, Yaba, Lagos, and a host of others.
