Emmanuel’s father’s burial reunites leaders

Governor of Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel, has put his late father, Elder Gabriel Emmanuel Nkanang, to eternal rest.

While paying tribute to his father, Udom thanked everyone who contributed to the burial’s success, describing their expression of love as overwhelming.

Worth mentioning is that the burial of Elder Nkanang, who died on December 1 at the age of 90, reunited prominent leaders who ignored their political differences to pay their last respect to the governor’s father.

Spotted at the burial were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River, former First Lady Patience Jonathan, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, among others.
