Abayomi and the others had left the APC for AA before the 2019 general elections following allegation that they were wrongfully denied participation in the party’s primary.
Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu praised the defectors for returning to their root.
The governor thanked the people of Oka-Akoko and Akoko for the support and love they have shown him.
He assured them of delivering more dividends of democracy, despite the massive infrastructure he had embarked on in the area. Akeredolu also said no amount of unhealthy rivalry and rebellion could upturn the wish of God on the 2020 governorship election. Ondo State APC Chairman Ade Adetimehin said there would be no opposition in the state before May.
