THE Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA) has blamed the slow pace of work in the organisation to its obsolete legislation which is being amended by the National Assembly.
Its Acting Managing Director, Birtrus Dawuk, who spoke during a visit by World Bank and International Financial Corporation (IFC) delegates in Abuja with the intent to partner in infrastructural development of Free Trade Zones across the country and staff capacity building which will attract more foreign direct investment.
Dawuk said for the organisation to perform optimally and generate the expected billions of dollars, the law must be amended by the National Assembly to help smooth operation.
