THE Delta State Police Command has said its operatives have apprehended a teenager over the death of his friend in Ughelli.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), A Division, Ughelli, CSP Kelvin Zuokumor, confirmed the development to newsmen on Wednesday in Warri.
The 13-year-old suspect, identified as Precious Life was alleged to have stabbed his friend Marvelous Ekrake with a knife on Saturday and took to his heels.
“It is true, the matter is before the Delta Police Command,” Zuokumor said.
A reliable source disclosed that the suspect was apprehended with the assistance of his family members.
According to the source, the suspect had a scuffle with the deceased over the sharing of an amount of money they realised from a job in Ughelli on that fateful day.
