Oba of Benin suspends hearing of complaints

The Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare II, has suspended, with immediate effect, the hearing of all complaints brought by various communities, groups and individuals to the palace, in view  of the ravaging Coronavirus.

The monarch, yesterday in Benin, through his Acting Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Victor Ogiemare, stated that there was the need to take precautionary measures over Coronavirus, which he noted was causing panic worldwide.

The first-class king noted that a new date would later be announced for the hearing at the palace, in conformity with Federal Government’s position in curbing the deadly virus.

Oba of Benin also urged all Nigerians to join hands to defeat the Coronavirus, as they did during the Ebola outbreak.
