Since Ebonyi Government started the enforcement of its border closure on Sunday, commuters and passengers entering the state have been stranded, forcing most of them to meander in the bush for escape.
Some of them resorted to trekking through the bush parts to beat the security at the border.
Commercial motorcyclists also made brisk business as they were transporting commuters to and from the border areas.
However, there seems to be total compliance of commuters in the State, as all the transport companies operating in the state have shut down operations.
At the popular Nkalagu boundary, hundreds of commuters were stranded as they were not allowed entrance into the state.
This development created a herculean task for the Taskforce Team led by the state Deputy Governor, Kelechi Igwe.
The Team were dispersing the people from entering the State at the border.

The chairman of Ishielu local government area, Hon. Sunday Eze said he slept at the boundary since Saturday night to ensure total compliance on the directives.
However, only commuters carrying essential services like food, drugs, fossil fuels, building materials etc were permitted to and fro the state, after undergoing medical screening at the border.
Some of the passengers lamented that they were not aware of the directives only to be denied entry on reaching the border.
They also lamented that the closure was really biting hard on them, especially those returning for Easter celebration.
The Secretary to Ebonyi State Government, Kenneth Ugbala said the directives would continue to ensure that Ebonyi remains totally free from the coronavirus epidemic.
