Two Chinese kidnapped in Ebonyi

TWO Chinese working in Ebonyi State have been kidnapped by suspected herdsmen.

The incident, it was learnt, happened in Ishiagu, Ivo Local government area of the state.

A source said three Chinese were initially taken but one of them was later released by the abductors.

The abducted men were said to be working for Green Field, a mining company in the area.

The town has the largest deposit of solid minerals in the state.

The names of the kidnapped men are Shen Gusmeh and Mao Xinmin, The Nation learnt.

Police Commissioner, Awosola Awotinde confirmed the incident.

He expressed hope of possible rescue of the two Chinese workers.

He said the command was on the trail of the kidnappers.
