Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase, has asked Nigerians to remain strong and resilient as they celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ even in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his goodwill message to Nigerian Christians on the occasion of the Easter celebration, the Deputy Speaker asked Nigerians never to give up in the face of obvious obstacles.
In the message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Mohammed Puma, Wase said “I wish to sincerely congratulate the Christian faithful on the feast of Easter. It is my candid prayer that despite the current challenges, God will give you a peaceful and solemn celebration.
“I admonish you not to abandon the preventive measures put in place by the federal government and various state governments to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.”
