The Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, has mobilised palliatives worth N10million for distribution to his subjects to help cushion the effect of lockdown caused by COVID-19.
The fund was mobilised through the Gentlemen’s Quintessence Club of Owo.
Addressing reporters at the disbursement of the money to his subjects, Oba Ogunoye said members of the club are indigenes of Owo all over the world.
He said that the palliatives also included food items.

The monarch said: “The palliatives were arranged by my club (Gentlemen’s Quintessence Club of Owo). We discussed during our meeting and came out with this package.
“Prior to this, some of our illustrious sons and daughters had extended their hands of fellowship to Owo people where foodstuffs were given out.
“I believe more of our people are still coming out to assist Owo people.”
He urged the people to abide by the measures suggested, to prevent themselves from contracting the virus.
