Church donates N10m to Fed Govt

The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has  given goods worth N10 million to the Nigerian efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Receiving the donation in his office in Abuja, yesterday,   Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha thanked the church for partnering government to fight the disease.

Mustapha, who chairs the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, noted that the donation would assist medical/health workers.

The SGF, in a statement by Mr Willie Bassey, director of Information in the Office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), noted that the Anglican Communion was among the first to advise adherents to obey the government as regards congregational meetings as well as the stay-at-home order.
