Leader of a youth gang has been arrested in Ebonyi State for killing a policeman attached to a Chinese mining company in the state.
Police spokesperson Loveth Odah said that the policeman’s rifle was recovered.

It was learnt that the gang’s first attack on officials of the mining company with a Chinese man guarded by three policeman was repelled. On a second attempt, the gang snatched the late policeman’s rifle and shot him in the head. He died in hospital.
Police reinforced and rescued the other two policemen and arrested the gang leader, The Nation was told.
