Majority Leader of the Lagos state House of Assembly and member representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, Sanai Bolanle Agunbiade, has donated food items to the people of his constituency as part of his annual Iftar programme as well as to cushion the effect of the current lockdown in the state. He distributed the items at various locations in the three council areas of Ikorodu Central, Ikorodu West and Ikorodu North to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

According to the lawmaker, the gesture, aside taken care of Muslims fasting in his constituency, will also complement the efforts of the state government in cushioning the effects of the lockdown on the elderly and the vulnerable members of the public. Urging residents of the division to adhere to directives on the use of face masks, social distancing and other precautions, he appreciated Governor Babajide Sanwoolu for standing up for Lagosians at this trying time.

“This is to keep to the tradition of giving food items to the Muslims in Ikorodu constituency I during the month of Ramadan. It is also to support Governor Sanwoolu’s effort to stop the spread of coronavirus in the state.
